The only requirement for sending the newsletter is your email address. The details of surname and first name are used exclusively to address you personally. 4. processing of personal data when contacting, registering or ordering as a guest)
a) Contact
When you contact us by phone, email or via a contact form, the data you provide will be stored by us based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR insofar as it is necessary to answer your questions. The contact is logged in order to be able to prove the contact in accordance with the legal requirements. We delete the data accrued in this context when the respective conversation with you has ended.
b) Registration
On our website, we offer you the opportunity to register by providing personal data. The data is entered in an input mask and transmitted to us and stored. Registration is necessary to set up your customer account, which you can use to place orders. The processing of the data for this registration thus serves the fulfilment of the contract of use or the implementation of pre-contractual measures and is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. You can delete your customer account at any time on our website.
c) Storage of data in the user account
For the conclusion and processing of contracts, we require contact details, such as name, delivery and billing address and e-mail address, as well as information on the type of payment method you have chosen, depending on the individual case. You can store this data in your user account. In addition, we use your data to maintain our customer database so that only accurate data is stored there. In order to avoid typing errors and to ensure that the items you have ordered reach you, we check the completeness and accuracy of your address when you enter it.
Following your order, you will receive a corresponding order confirmation as well as further documents, which we are obliged to provide in order to fulfil our legal information obligations for an effective conclusion of a contract with you. The processing of your data is therefore necessary for the conclusion of the contract with you and is therefore based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR.
d) Guest order
You have the option to place your orders as a guest. If you choose this order type, you do not have to register before placing an order. Please note that you will have to enter your data again for each subsequent order.
We collect, process and use the information provided by you in the context of a guest order for the purpose of executing the contract in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR. We store the information you provide for the period of processing and handling your order. Afterwards, your data will be deleted unless you decide to activate your customer account within 14 days after placing your order. Data that we are required to store due to legal, statutory or contractual retention obligations will be blocked instead of being deleted to prevent it being used for other purposes.
If you place a guest order via our hotline, we will also process your name and contact details, including e-mail address and telephone number (voluntary), as well as your bank details, if applicable, for processing the order.
e) Order confirmation/dispatch confirmation
In order to process the contract, for example the web shop or to send a package for which a fee is charged, we use your contact details to send you registration confirmations, customer service information, order confirmations, contract documents or payment processing information. We are obliged to send you these documents in order to comply with our legal information obligations for an effective conclusion of a contract with you. The processing of your data is therefore necessary for the conclusion of the contract with you and is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR
f) Other
Based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c and f GDPR, we use and store your personal data and technical information to the extent necessary to prevent or prosecute misuse or other illegal behaviour on our website, e.g. to maintain data security in the event of attacks on our IT systems. This also takes place insofar as we are legally obliged to do so, for example on the basis of official or court orders, and for the exercise of our rights and claims as well as for legal defence.

5. Disclosure to third parties
a) Disclosure to service providers pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b and f DS-GVO
For the operation and optimisation of our website as well as our services and for the execution of contracts, some service providers (located in Germany) work for us, e.g. for central IT services, e-mail marketing or the hosting of our website, for the payment and delivery of products or for the newsletter dispatch, to whom we pass on the data required for the fulfilment of the task (e.g. name, address). The external service providers are carefully selected by us and regularly checked to ensure that your privacy is protected.
Some of these companies act on our behalf by way of commissioned processing and may therefore use the data provided exclusively in accordance with our instructions. In this case, we are legally responsible for appropriate data protection precautions at the companies we commission. We therefore agree on specific data security measures with these companies and monitor them regularly. These service providers are service providers / order processors bound by instructions and are accordingly obligated by us, among other things, to treat your data exclusively in accordance with our instructions and the applicable data protection laws. In particular, they are obliged to treat your data as strictly confidential. They are also prohibited from processing the data for purposes other than those agreed..
Data transfer to the data processor is effected on the basis of Art. 28 (1) GDPR.
We will not sell your data to third parties or otherwise share them for commercial purposes.
In contrast to order processing, in the following cases we transmit data to third parties for their own use in the processing of the contract:
- In the case of delivery of goods to logistics companies and the postal service provider specified when the order was placed.
- In the case of payment for goods to the payment service provider specified when the order was placed. In the case of credit card payment, a transaction-based security check is carried out with the help of the payment service provider Adyen in order to avoid credit card fraud.
We do not collect or store any payment transaction information such as credit card numbers or bank details during the payment process. You only provide this information directly to the respective payment service provider. The exception is a so-called pseudo card number for credit card payments: so that you do not have to enter your credit card details again for each payment transaction, a pseudo card number is stored for your customer account. The pseudo card number only allows you to pay for offers on our website that are ordered from your customer account and is not identical to the credit card number.
Dunlop offers various payment options, such as payment in advance, payment by credit card, payment by PayPal and payment on account. For this purpose, payment data may be transmitted to payment service providers with whom we cooperate. For more information on the processing of personal data by payment service providers, please refer to their privacy policies:
Adyen N.V., Simon Carmiggeltstraat 6-50, 1011 DJ Amsterdam, the Netherlands. For more information, please see Adyen's privacy policy.
b) Disclosure to other third parties pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c and f GDPR
We will disclose your data to third parties or government agencies within the framework of existing data protection laws if we are legally obliged to do so, e.g. due to official or court orders, or if we are entitled to do so, e.g. because this is necessary for the prosecution of criminal offences or for the exercise and enforcement of our rights and claims

6. Intended data transfer to third countries
At present, data transfer to third countries is not planned. Otherwise we will establish the required legal conditions. You will be informed of the respective recipients or categories of recipients of the personal data in line with the legal requirements

7. Security
Dunlop takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any personal data you provide to Dunlop from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized parties. This also applies to any external services purchased. We verify the effectiveness of our data protection measures and continuously improve them in line with technological development. Any personal data entered are encrypted during transfer using a secure encryption process.

8.  Website-Tracking
If you visit our website for informational purposes only, without providing personal data via registration or in any other way, only the internet connection data that your browser transmits to our server will be processed. Our website collects a series of general data and information with each call, which is temporarily stored in log files of a server. A log file is created in the course of an automatic protocol of the processing computer system. The following can be recorded:
- Access to the website (date, time and frequency)
- How you arrived at the website (previous page, hyperlink etc.)
- Amount of data sent
- Which browser and browser version you are using

In addition, the data serve us to optimise our website and to ensure the security of our IT systems and the processing is based in this respect on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. For this reason, the data is stored for a maximum of 7 days as a technical precaution
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics for web analysis. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), a company incorporated and operated under the laws of Ireland (registration number: 368047) with its registered office at Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies". The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) will be transmitted and stored by Google. It is not excluded that data processing may take place outside the scope of EU law. Google has joined the Privacy Shield so that Google guarantees compliance with EU data protection standards.
However, if you activate the IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened previously by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address is transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with further services related to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be aggregated with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. For more information on terms of use and privacy, please visit http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/en.html or https://www.google.com/intl/en/privacy.html. Please note that on the website Google Analytics has been extended by the code "anonymizeIP" in order to guarantee an anonymous registration of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).
The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR, whereby our authorization arises from the fact that, on the one hand, Dunlop has an interest in evaluating the website data for purposes of website optimization and, on the other hand, a concerned person can reasonably foresee at the time when the personal data is collected and in view of the circumstances under which it is carried out (in particular the above-mentioned measures) that it will possibly be processed for this purpose.
Google Tag Manager
This website uses the Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows Dunlop to manage website tags through a single interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personally identifiable information. The tool triggers other tags that may themselves collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, it will persist for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

9. Cookies
For a user-friendly website experience and to tailor the operations of our website to your needs, some areas of our website may use cookies. A cookie is a small file that is stored locally on your computer when you visit a website. When you revisit the website on the same device, the cookie will indicate, for example, that you are a repeat visitor. Cookies also allow us to analyze the use of our website. They do not include any personal data and cannot identify you on third-party websites––including those of analytics providers.
We use the following types of cookies:
  • Essential/necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the functioning of our website. This includes, for example, issue of anonymous session IDs to summarize multiple queries to a web server or ensuring fault-free functioning of registrations and orders.
  • Functionality cookies
These cookies help us to save your chosen settings or support other functions when you are navigating our website. They allow us, for example, to remember your preferred settings for your next visit or save your login data for certain areas of our Website.
  • Performance/statistics cookies
These cookies collect information about how you use our website (e.g. which Internet browser you use, how often you visit our website, which pages you open, or how long you stay on our website). These cookies do not store any information that enables visitors to be personally identified. The information collected with the help of these cookies is aggregated, and thus anonymous.
You can accept or decline cookies - including those used for website tracking - by selecting the appropriate settings for your browser. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a new cookie, or to decline cookies altogether. However, if you choose to decline cookies you may not be able to use all the features of our website (e.g. for purchasing orders). Your browser also offers you the option to delete cookies (e.g. via the Clear Browsing History function). For further information, please refer to the user help function under Settings in your web browser.

10. Embedding of social plugins Our website uses buttons for the following social Networks
  • Facebook, Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland
  • Instagram, Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland
  • Google, Google Ireland Limited Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland
  • LinkedIn, LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA,
The buttons show the logos of the individual social networks. However, the buttons are not standard social plugins, i.e. plugins provided by social networks, but links with button icons. These buttons are only activated by deliberate actions (clicking). As long as you do not click the buttons, no data will be transferred to the social networks. By clicking the buttons, you accept communication with the servers of the social network, thereby activating the buttons and establishing the link.
Once clicked, the button functions as a share plugin. The social network then obtains information about the site you have visited, which you can share with your friends and contacts. You need to be logged in to “share” information. If you are not logged in, you will be forwarded to the login page of the social network you have clicked, thereby leaving the pages of https://webshop.dunlopsports.eu/de-de/.

11. Online presences in social media
Dunlop maintains several online presences within social networks and platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, in order to be able to communicate with active users there and to inform them about our service portfolio. Dunlop uses the technical platforms and services offered by the operators. In social networks and on other external platforms the data protection regulations of the operators apply, even though we publish information and maintain presences there.
We would like to point out that you use the services of the social networks and platforms offered here as well as their functions under your own responsibility.
This applies in particular to the use of interactive functions (e.g. commenting, sharing, rating etc.). The data collected about you in this context will be processed by the platform operators and, if necessary, transferred to countries outside the European Union. Which information the operators receive and how these are used, describe the respective data protection guidelines in general form. On the individual platforms you will also find information on how to contact the operators and on the setting for advertisements.
In which way the social network operators use the data from the visits of the respective pages for own purposes, to what extent activities on the pages are assigned to individual users, how long these data are stored and whether data from a visit of the respective page are passed on to third parties, is not conclusively and clearly named by the operators and is not known to us.
